A little about Pinetree Family Chiropractic
We’re a warm, well-established practice overlooking the Royal River in Yarmouth, and we’ve been caring for Maine families since 2011. Prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric care are our specialty and our passion. Thanks to the reputation we’ve earned with patients and providers alike, people come to us from across southern, midcoast, and central Maine, and we never take that for granted. Right now, we’re hiring a massage therapist and and welcoming other family care providers.
Here’s what’s under our roof: chiropractic care, massage therapy, pelvic floor rehab, therapeutic or rehabilitative exercise, nutrition support, and a pregnancy guidance program. Different people need different things at different times, and we like having all of it in one place. Our care is evidence-based and trauma-informed, and we welcome families of every shape, background, and identity.
Current Openings in Yarmouth
Massage therapy has been a big part of Pinetree Family Chiropractic for a long time. Now we’re looking for a new massage therapist who wants to join us in doing this work as the clinical care it is. We care about true healing, and that means taking the time to listen, explain, and treat the whole person.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing dedicated massage therapy sessions with attention, warmth, compassion, and a nurturing, healing touch
- Working with a lot of pregnant and postpartum patients, along with our broader family caseload
- Coordinating with Dr. Hill on shared patients when clinically appropriate
- Conferring with Dr. Hill on complex cases, including patients who don’t receive chiropractic care here. We’d rather you ask than guess
- Completing session notes in our EHR on time. We’ll train you on the system, but timely documentation is a must
What we’re looking for
- Active Maine Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license, or the ability to get one
- Solid skills and experience in therapeutic massage. This isn’t a spa, so we need someone with real clinical training, not just relaxation-focused work
- Skill in deep tissue massage
- Comfort working with pregnant and postpartum patients, and with pediatric patients in rare circumstances
- Someone reliable. Patients book ahead and our team plans around you, so showing up on time, following through, and keeping your notes current matters a lot to us
- A collaborative streak. You’ll be working alongside a chiropractic physician and other providers, not off in your own corner
- Someone who explains things clearly, listens well, and shares our commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed, inclusive care for every patient who walks through our door
Already trained in prenatal and postpartum massage? Wonderful, that’s a big plus. Not yet? No problem. If your therapeutic and deep tissue skills are strong and you’re excited to learn, we’ll train you. Jessie Griffin, LMT, our prenatal and postpartum massage specialist, will personally guide you through a full training program, from the use of specialized pregnancy cushions to specific techniques and what red flags to watch out for, so you can follow in her beloved footsteps. Her stellar reputation speaks for itself.
Extra training in lymphatic drainage or other specialized modalities is a nice bonus, though not required.
Why you might like it here
- A flexible schedule (yes, really)
- Compensation starting at $40 per one-hour massage therapy session
- We handle the admin and the upkeep, including scheduling, billing, patient communications, laundry, supplies, and cleaning, so you can focus on seeing your patients and doing the clinical work you trained for
- An established, loyal patient base built over 15+ years, with referrals from our team
- Prenatal and postpartum care is our specialty, not a side note
- True collaboration. You’ll share patients with our physicians and other therapists, talk through challenging cases together, and keep learning from your colleagues, all with the goal of helping patients heal
- Appointment-only scheduling, so your day is organized and predictable. No walk-ins, no surprises
- A culture of warmth, support, and fun. We take the work seriously and ourselves a little less so
To apply
Send your resume and a cover letter to info@pinetreefamily.com. We’d like to hear about your therapeutic and deep tissue massage background (and any prenatal/postpartum training, if you have it), and why you think you’d be a good fit for our practice.

Treatment Room for Rent, or Join Our Team
Now we have a treatment room available, and we’re looking for a provider whose work fits alongside ours.
Who we’re hoping to find
Someone whose work supports pregnant, postpartum, and young families, and who wants to practice in a setting that takes that care seriously. That might be a:
- Mental health therapist or counselor
- Lactation consultant (IBCLC)
- Midwife
- Primary care nurse practitioner
- Doula
- Something we haven’t thought of. If your work belongs here, tell us why.
Whatever your field, you should be licensed or certified as required in Maine, comfortable with families at every stage, and someone who explains things clearly and listens well. You should also share our commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed care for every family who walks through our door.
Two ways to work with us
Rent the room
The room is available unfurnished for $800 per month, which includes a private treatment room, shared waiting area and kitchen, wifi, a security system, parking, utilities, and common area cleaning. Furnishings are available for an additional cost, depending on what you need. You run your own practice, which means your own scheduling, phone, billing, supplies, insurance, and cleaning your treatment room. This is a good fit if you already have an established practice and a solid handle on the business side, or you want full independence and a professional space in a building families already know and trust.
Join our team
Depending on your profession, you can join Pinetree as an employee, paid a percentage of collections. We take care of all the admin, including scheduling, billing, and patient communications, plus supplies, cleaning, marketing, and more, so you can focus on seeing your patients and doing the clinical work you trained for. As part of the team, you’ll also be integrated into patient care. We can refer to you directly, coordinate on shared patients, and introduce you to the families we see every day. Compensation and benefits are discussed based on your profession and experience.
Not sure which fits? Tell us a little about your work and we’ll talk it through.
